The chances will be very low if you keep the poop cleaned up, wash your hands, and don’t eat infested poop.
my dog has heart-worms, he is roughly about 5 or 6 years old and now farther in his diagnosis he is bleeding anally. it is a mucus with bloody type discharge. does this mean he is in the last stages experiencing congestive heart failure?
I have an adopted dog that was tested positive for hearworm and is on medication. My dog is mostly a good dog but some times he changes into a nasty dog that just gets into all kinds of trouble and will grawl at me. I am wondering if any other heartworm positive dog owners find this happens to their dog as well. I wonder if it has something to do with the heartworms making him a little nuts at times. Thanks for any answers from heartworm dog owners.
So I picked up this stray and I am going to take him to the animal shelter in a few hours. I gave him a few doses of dewormer since I’ve had him (bout 1 1/2 days) and I just seen a 3-4 incher pass through his stool. I’ve been seeing the little orzo (rice) looking ones. Now his stool is wet in appearance and I seen a long (mommy looking) one.
Just looking for a little advice before I head out…!
been giving my dog a raw diet lately:
75% muscle meat
5% tripe, heart, gizzard
10% liver and kidney
10% bone (sometimes ground, sometimes in the form of raw meaty bones)
He recently got worms. Vet dewormed him. He seems sick again. Just some mild diarrhea. Going to the vet on Friday?
so we had our dogs and there food dishes out in our yard when it was nice. a few days after the dog tipped over his dish of dry cibble (we leave it down for them to eat during the day) and we found small worm like bugs (there was about 4) insisde with the food.
We did throw away the bag of food that it came from incase it wasn’t from when we were outside, bought new dishes for the dogs. But we do want to make sure they will be ok and won’t get sick from eating that food.
We gave our puppy worming tablets this morning and he had 4 worm looking things in his stool this afternoon. How contagious are worms to humans? and how will I know if I have them? Im also pregnant can this be harmful to me and my baby?
