I got a 2 year old Miniature Schnauzer 3 weeks ago named Molly. We took her in because her former owner couldn’t take care of her anymore.
We just found out that she has heavy heart worms and that she isn’t fixed. I was wondering if she could get spayed even though she has heavy heart worms?

Alright, my grandmas dog has heart worms and and she has to get something done about it soon, of course. But, the problem is, it is going to end up costing around $300.00. She needs to know if there is any program out there or just anything that will help her pay for this. This is her baby and she does not want to lose him. Please help!

Its doesn’t seem like they would be able to because of the cold. Can the worms survive in the freezing cold? I live in Michigan so it gets really cold here in the winter. I just wanted to know if my dog should be on the prevention during the winter months.
What are the odds that my dogs have heartworms? I have 3 dogs a 1 year old male Papillon 8lbs! A one year old female Doxie/Corgi mix 14lbs! And a 1 year old male German Shepard mix 55lbs! I know the testing for heartworms is expensive! I have already purchased heart worm preventatives! But i don’t wanna waste them! I live in northern Ca! Thanks in advance! Oh another question!
