i think my dog has worms i haven’t noticed her poop in and she has loosed weight the worm / thread thing was found in the door way of my daughter room she is gone for the summer i sprayed it with bug spray and it didn;t die
My fish all have what looks like red poop, but can’t tell if it’s worms or just poop. The food that I feed them has red flakes in it. Any answers?
My dog was neutured over a week ago has had diarrea since. But today while cleaning my yard one pile of dog poop had rice looking worms in it. (not sure how long it was outside) The other piles did not have worms. I am worried now that my dog has worms.
I believe my friend’s cats are infected with them, and I’m not quite sure what they are.
They are small; not even a half-inch long and they resemble maggots. We’re pretty sure that the cats have them, as they appear in their water dish and occasionally appear on the floor or wherever the cat is sitting.
They aren’t roundworm/hookworm/tapeworm, as far as I know, since I did a little searching around and they don’t look a thing like those types of worms.
Oh, and I would like to know if it is possible for me to transfer these worms to my cats, even though I just stayed the night at my friend’s house. I’ll wash my clothes and take a shower before handling my cats just in case, but is there a risk anyway?
the doctor should of provided you with instructions with a proper dose for the weight of your cat. If you did not get the medication from a vet…do not give it…especially if there are no directions. It will not be strong enough to kill the parastie and the host if it is not a perscription anyways. No, dewormers are nothing like antibiotics…parasites dont have anything to to with the immune system..unless there is a severe infestation and it causes an infection.
Call your vet…read them off the name of the medication, and see what they reccomend. Do not just dose medications on a guess. thats how people kill their pets…by playing veterinarian, You are giing your cat a dewormer, which means its purpose is to strip the intestinal wall for parasites…if you give too much…your gonna do serious harm to your cat.

Dead worms found on dog bedding, What should I use to get rid of them?
My dogs don’t rub on anything else but dead earth worms. Its really strange. My mom’s dogs do it too. Does anyone know why?
could be, has he been wormed/immunized?check his poo, he may be bloated also…take him to vet, stop pushing on his/her tummy, could be painful for him/her…is this a pup or full grown, female? pregnant?
I found out my dog has heartworms. He is almost a year old. The vet said to treat it, it would cost over 600$ which right now I am running low on money. I bought the Iverheart heartworm prevention to kill the baby worms but the vet said it wont kill the adults. how long do adults live?
Would it be possible to put my dog on heartworm prevention and let the adults die off without having to go through the treatment? Im not actually considering doing this, but im just wondering if that is possible cause right now I absolutely cannot afford the treatment, and I will probley have to give him up to the shelter if I dont find a way to pay for it.
