If i do detect worms is there anything i could buy that would treat the worms without going to the vet. If i could take my cat to the vet i honestly would, i just cannot afford it right now. I heard of some kind of paste that a cat can lick to treat it? Help please?

My dog has been acting very weird lately and I don’t know what’s wrong with him. I suspect he has heart worms. But I’m not sure.

I have linked below some sites that will give you symptoms. The main one I look for is excessive eating or hunger and weight loss. But that can be after they have had them for awhile. We always had greyhounds and the first few we fostered had worms and those are what we noticed. Also you can check their stool for worms. Some symptoms the sites list are:
Dull coat
Weight loss
Appetite loss
Pot-bellied appearance
Coughing
Low energy level
Diarrhea
Vomiting

Big tummy, scooting butt across the floor, seeing worms in poop, losing weight and/or vomiting. If you suspect your dog has worms, take him to the vet to be treated.

I have a dog that is currently going through heart worm treatment( 1 year old german shepherd) and i know to keep him chilled out for 5-8 weeks. When ever he lays down he starts to pant. Not like labored breathing but just pant like he just walked. he will do it for a wile and then stop and then start again. Is this a side effect of heart worms(or the treatment) or is there something else wrong?

My dog has his worm shots and everything, but whenever I walk him around my neighborhood he always eats random things and dog/cat poop! I’m afraid he might have worms….
How can I tell?
and what will happen?
and can humans get worms? what would happen to them?

I have three dogs. Two of my dogs are newer to the family and haven’t had they’re shots. But today when I went to see them in their house I noticed that one of them was throwing up and both of them weren’t eating when I fed them. I noticed when I looked in Sampson’s throw up they’re was a white worm. I wanted to know what was the worm. And if stress causes the worms to effect they’re system more. I gave them heart worm medicine a few months ago but they’re not eating and looking kind of skinny. I just love my dogs a lot and need to know what to do.

I fear my 1 year old lab/ret. may have eaten a toad about 3 hours ago. I called an emergency #, and they told me to watch for salivation and/or collapsing of my dog. Neither have occurred, and she is acting normal. Would you say it is likely that she either didn’t eat the toad, or will be ok?

My dog is almost 12, he has been “ill” for several weeks now and the vet doesn’t know why? His blood tests were fine but he is walking in circles and whining and howling alot. He has been walking like he’s drunk and can’t seem to keep his balance, and this morning he couldn’t hardly stand on his own. Any suggestions?
