I have a 4 year old about 16-17 pound mini schnauzer who just went for some shots today. She got a couple, rabies, lymes, and heart worm. She was pretty fine when I came home at about 3. Then I sat down on my computer and she came in my room sniffing around a lot. She looked like she had to go out so she went out. Now she is acting really lazy. She hasn’t gotten up and she feels slightly warm. Is she having a reaction? If so should it be anything to worry about? I know a fever can be pretty common in human vaccinations.

I bought a de-wormer from Walmart today. I think that I may have over dosed my cat. He threw up the de-wormer and he had the runs. What do I do now???

I have a 6 year old German Shepherd, and he’s been acting really strange. Yesterday, he walked right into the door, then into the wall when he turned his head as if he was blind in one eye. He seemed fine all day after that. Then, last night while I was laying in bed, he yellped, then started puking. Now I get up this morning and he cant stand up straight, he wont go outside, he fell over and then when he did go outside, he walked off the walkway which is about 2 foot high. He was just treated for heart worms, and he was clear after the last treatment. Any info would help alot

Just 20 minutes ago, I found a tiny white thing on the hair around my dog’s rectum. it was about 1/2 inches long, just 1 segment, I first thought it was a piece of plastic or something, then the thing started to move.
it is all white, like milky white, and it was flat most of time.

What should I do? What kind of worm treatment should be used to get rid of tapeworm?
Also, if I bring my dog to the vet, how much is it going to cost to run a full examination? (If possible, I don’t want to get the vet involved, unless it is serious, they are really expensive.)

im taking him to the vet at noon. but the vet dosent really make things very simple to under stand so if theyre roundworms what should i expect. he is a 4month old akita. what is the worst case scenario. what is the best. can and how can it be cured. he is insured so money isnt a problem but i would like to know the figures of the treatment. i dont want to have to put him down if i can cure him without any longterm effects that will hurt him. god he is a 1500 dog and i really love him. please please. help

No kind way to say this, I noticed a yellowish/offwhite worm near the rear end of my 3 year old basset this morning. The worm looked like a larvae.
Am I correct in concluding that my dog has worms?
Where do these type of worms originate?

My dog was outside and when he crossed the threshold to come back inside his back arched really high, he started shaking, and his legs were folded up and we’re almost paralyzed looking (he could not walk). His upper body was normal and so was his face and expression. The vet thinks he possibly had a seizure but my dog was coherent while exhibiting these symptoms and he wasn’t drooling or unresponsive. The shaking/paralyzed legs only lasted around two minutes and then he was back to his normal, playful self. Has this happened to anyone else’s pet before? Thank you for your help!
