I am assuming your dogs water source is outside?
Probably mosquito larvae, they populate standing water. Turn over possible reservoirs that can hold water and harbor larvae.
Change out your dogs water daily or bring it inside, if you can.
Talk to your vet about larvae and how to treat your dog.

is there any dewormer for tapeworms i can purchase at petsmart or at a walmart?
i dont have money to pay for the vet visit and medicine both i know for a fact what it is so dont say go to the vet sorry some people dont have tons of cash
but i do know this is a serious problem i just need a enexpensive way to treat my cat for tape worms

My dog’s food started stinking and it had this kind of “dust” but when you look closer you see this VERY tiny worms walking all over the food. We throw it away but now this worms keep forming a “layer” over my dog’s water bowl. We washed and disinfected the water bowl several times but they just keep coming back. How can I get rid of them? Are they dangerous for my dog?

If you treated him with “Revolution” then you treated him for the whole enchilada. All the worms and fleas and ticks will soon die. Same with Advantage and Feline Frontline and Advantage.
They are all very safe for the cat but kill all those parasites. If you got it over the counter at a pet store then let’s hope you don’t kill your cat.

Wormer dosage is based on the weight of the animal. If there are not instructions with it (which there should be…) then check woth your vet.

she got the medication 3 weeks ago and the worms started coming out last week. is this what the dewormer is supposed to be doin??

I just dewormed my horses about 1 or 2 weeks ago with the Tape Care Plus. They are 1200 pounds so they use the whole tube. They don’t take the paste too well, so I have been mixing it in with their feed. I have to wet their feed to make it like a bran mash, because they have choke syndrome. Does this affect the dewormer at all? My dad says not, just as long as it gets into their digestive system, but I still have my doubts. Can anyone fill me in on their opinions?

A friend has been watching our dog because I just had a baby and we live in apts. However, she thinks our dog might have worms so my husband wants the dog back to watch it closely to see if it does have worms. If the dog does have worms can it hurt my 3 month old son?
